Service Offering
Service Descriptions - find out even more about the services.
The business of architecture is broken into a few categories: the first being research and understanding the problem, then design for a solution, and finally production and drafting. Most firms make money on the research, and then production. They find the cheapest ways to produce drawings and offer them to you at market rate under the guise of a distinguished firm. You as a client pay dearly for this show of professionalism.
What you really need from an architect are 2 things: 1) the design and creation of a product that fits your values and profit center. 2) To make sure that the design is safe.
Everything else can be done by drafting services, engineers, and other industry professionals and tradespeople.
Another way to frame the issue is that you need your architect to do two things:
1) Help you to innovate. (innovation)
2) Help sell the idea to everyone else in your organization. (sales & marketing)
My services are different from other firms as I will spend time with you on research to define the problem, innovation to create and improve the solution, and sales + marketing - to help convince whoever needs to be convinced that this is an AMAZING idea.
You will be sent to another team for production and engineering - of which you will reap the benefit of having experts in production on your side. I will oversee specific and fundamental detailing that brings the story of what we have conceived and created to life.
This is my expertise, and what I have been doing since 1998.
The secret of why I do well in this realm is for the following reasons:
1) I am educated as an engineer - so I learn technologies, new studies in behavior science, and systems of organization fairly quickly. Speed after all is the key to business success.
2) My graduate architectural education is rooted in design thinking - processes of design specifically tailored toward brainstorming, innovation, vetting, story-telling and execution.
After 25 years in this field, I've learned that the strength of the story of a particular project has a direct relationship with it's speed and success -both economically and with user social anthropology.
3) My professional development is focused on designing environments that shape people's behavior. The space created is meant to serve as a specific function - sometimes it's based on the psychology of human family values, or buyer psychology in retail, or shaping social culture within a corporate work environment. All of my training and projects have focused on developing and influencing human behavior within a space.
Logistics:
The services I provide will be offered on a monthly basis divided into 6 segments. Each segment may be reserved in whole or fractions thereof.
The work offering must be void of distractions, and so the offering is limited. My mind can only keep track of 6 or less subjects at a time.
If the 6 segments are filled, there is only 2 ways to move up in priority: 1) negotiate a higher retainer for each segment. Priority will go to the highest bid for the slot(s). 2) sign up early for your slots.
Location:
Regardless of location within the world, our service provides you with a tansportable design solution. We work with your local architect of record, drafters, and contractor to fulfil the design quality needed to bring the project to fruition.
